The pump itself is fine, but the flow-regulator is awful. Even at the lowest setting, it's practically a fire-hose, and completely unsuitable for many fountains. The 60GPH pump I had before was more powerful, but could be throttled down to almost a trickle, while this one just blasts a continuous onslaught constantly. I found a way to put a wadded-up piece of paper-towel into the regulator to restrict the flow even more, that shouldn't be even close to necessary. A proper regulator should be able to almost stop the flow of water completely, and that certainly doesn't happen with this pump.

The pump on our car fountain had broke down. Since then we tried numerous pumps that takes 12v or 110v, and my biggest problem was the noise, or rather, vibration on them.This is the 5th pump we tried, and I'm happy to say that this pump is very quiet.The attention to packaging and manual is appreciated and boost my confidence on the quality of this pump.

This only puts out a trickle of water at very low pressure. It's barely enough to pump water up a 3 ft. vertical tube.It might work for a small aquarium, but if you actually need to move any amount of water quickly look elsewhere.

Super powerful for such a small thing.Make sure you know how many gallons per minute you need to suck, we couldn't use this much power.I guess it's more for fountains?

Pump that came did not have the threaded adapter just some cheap plastic adapter that sucked. I bought this just for that half inch connection.

This worked out great for an indoor fountain project, as well as a potential indoor bird bath fountain of smaller size. Just the right strength and push, and the mini-size is perfect.

Works just as described, pumps about 2 ft., just make sure you attach the fountain before testing, otherwise it doesn't seem to have much power.

Ordered this pump to set up a automatic water system for my meat rabbits to save some work for me got it hooked up and it works great for what I need. It pumps the water 20 feet down to all of the cages and back another 20 feet into the return line back to the water tank. I am very pleased with this pump so far hopefully it will last a good long while.
