I have always found it difficult working with the relatively small display of a Laptop PC.Even when working with a Desktop PC and larger higher resolution monitor, I always find it easier working with 2 monitors. How people manage to work efficiently and accurately using an even smaller tablet screen or phone display I will never know.My Windows10 Laptop with a 15-inch (1366 x 768 pixel) screen has only 1-HDMI, 1-USB 3.0, and 2-USB 2.0 outputs. Because of this limitation and having a spare 24-inch (1920 x 1080 pixel) VGA monitor available I decided to purchase this Adapter.I ordered it late evening (23:50) through Amazon Prime, it was delivered the next day. Amazons delivery is always excellent.Between placing my order and delivery I did look at other reviews and comments on Amazon and became concerned with some of the reviews. However, I continued with the order.Once received I followed the instructions in the User Guide, install driver, restart PC, connect monitor.The VGA monitor displayed a duplicate of the Laptop screen. A quick change in Settings-Display-Multiple displays from “Duplicate these displays” to Extend these displays” plus changing the VGA monitor Display resolution to 1920 x 1080 gave the required VGA monitor screen resolution and size.Lastly, a change to Settings-Sound-Output was also required to get the sound output back from USB speakers output to the Laptop internal speakers. Everything is now up and running OK.This USB 3.0 to VGA adapter is an excellent product, of robust construction, provides great performance, and being reasonably priced, provides excellent value for money.I can highly recommend this product.Glyn

Nice litke unit had a few issues with the driver but that was down to Windows 10 not playing ball

As I have a Windows 11 PC, I followed the seller's emailed instruction to download the latest driver (the provenance of which is God-only-knows-where. More fool me, I suppose). Despite selecting not to proceed, software proceeded with install anyway. Display link didn't work and 'HYC USB Display' software is - on first appearance - impossible to uninstall as any attempt to uninstall detects that the program is 'currently running', even when the adapter is not plugged in. After reading other comments here, I was able to uninstall by starting my PC in 'safe' mode. Save yourself the hassle; look elsewhere.

Good product, worked intially then it started becoming less reliable. I would need to restart my computer for it to register the USB drive and allow my other monitor to turn on. I’m not ruling out an issue with my own laptop so it may not be the product itself.

Looks well made, and indeed it did work flawlessly for 4 months. Then started having problematic graphic errors, which was traced to this device. The problem was the micro USB charge port hadn't been correctly soldered and had dry spots, which ended up in the port falling out of the circuit board.The only other issue I had was that my HD screen would only show my PC that this device was connected to in a rather slightly out of focus image.Have now bought a completely different device from Amazon, which is far superior.Hope this helps

Received this adapter very quickly from the company.It was well wrapped in good packaging, suggesting to me that the company didn't skimp on costs.The adapter is good solid cables with excellent connectors that are well made and sit neatly in the adapter.I bought this specifically for adding a second monitor to my laptop display.I plugged the adapter into the laptop and it was recognised immediately by the laptop.I then installed the drivers from the CD disc provided before connecting a monitor.Once rebooted I noted that I had additional software running in the toolbar.Despite it not being my language I guessed it was the monitor software, so I plugged the monitor in and it sprang to life immediately!I then had to do a little bit of setting up with the display properties to have it operate as a separate monitor, as it initially cloned the desktop screen.* This is NOT a fault, it's the default for all laptops!Have to say that for the money paid this is a GOOD sound well priced adapter that provides me with the much needed second display screen. The display is sharp and it made life easier dropping and dragging the files I needed to work on, with two screens!I therefore have NO RESERVATIONS in recommending this adapter or the company that is providing it - A**

Well the good news is the device works. The bad news is that it only works after u have installed the driver. This comes on a mini CD rom. However laptops these days no longer have CD drives. I thought no problem I will find a copy on the AbleWe wbsite. Wrong. No website. I thought I would Google it. I found a helpful youtube video with a link to a drop box link to download. Wrong. It no longer works. After wasting 20 mins I gave up and found an old no longer used laptop and was able to copy the driver onto a memory stick and then install on the laptop I want to use it on. Yippee it all now works but what a hassle. There must be a better way to do this. Why do they not provide a link to download file? Why send CD discs that no one use anymore?
