Buying more! Amazing for narrow closets!
I have an extremely poorly designed closet--it's long but narrow, and the door (which is only as wide as a standard bedroom door...maybe a little less) splits it in half. So basically, if you're standing in the doorway to the closet, you've got about 5 feet of closet space to your left, five feet to your right, and only about two feet in front of you. I have tons of clothes on hangers, but getting at all of them is difficult--the edges of the hangers just barely miss hitting the closet walls, so I have to move everything to find anything. Hanging boxes and shelves don't work for the same reason--closet's too narrow for them to make sense being there. I ended up settling on having lots of clothes hanging on both sides of the closet, a couple of storage bins and a bunch of bags...Only one bin can fit on each side of the closet, though, and stacking stuff on top of them means anything longer than a basic sweater that I have on a hanger gets wrinkled and squished.I bought the Wonder Hanger after reading a ton of reviews and doing some thinking--my closet isn't wide, but it is long and it is tall. If I could find a way to use less space for hangers, I could perhaps dedicate only half my closet to hanging clothes, and the other half to bins and stuff, instead of using the entire closet for both. Maybe, just maybe, I could stack things on top of each other without causing any offensive wrinkles or accidentally trapping my clothes in a vise grip (on the hangers), or in the abyss (when they accidentally fell off the hangers). Cascading hangers seemed like the best solution here, but I wasn't sure if the Wonder Hanger would do what I needed, so I only bought the one pack of 2 hangers. That was a mistake. With just the two hangers I got, I can already tell this was a great idea and I'm kicking myself for not buying more of these right off the bat. Two of these hangers together hold 12 items, but on the rod they only take up about the horizontal space of about 3 hangers. Already I can tell that I'm going to have a lot of space I didn't have before. In terms of functionality, this thing is great. Clothes hang just low enough so that I can see what's on each rung of the hanger without having to move everything around (kind of a big deal for me, since I can't currently see what's behind each hanger without taking the hanger off of the rod), but the clothes don't hang so low that things are dragging on the floor. I've used them with both metal and plastic hangers and have had no problem with the hangers fitting into the rungs. I'll probably still have to shift my Wonder Hangers around to get to the ones behind them when all is said and done, but I'd much rather move around "five or six" hangers than 30+. They're really sturdy and I wouldn't hesitate to hang heavier items on them; I haven't tried using them for winter coats yet, as others suggested, but doing that would solve another of my storage issues, so who knows?

Hooray, my closet looks slightly less hoarder-ish now!
I'm pleased with these multi-hangers. They're a good value, and a very handy organizer for those of us with small closets, or-- let's be honest with ourselves-- just Too Much Stuff.PROS:* Sturdy and well-made. I've loaded them up and these hangers show no signs of stress. I'll never bother with plastic versions of these things again!* Helps me organize clothing. (I flip stuff on eBay, so I have a lot of garments "on deck" that I need to keep grouped within sight AND prevent from taking over my small NYC closet. That's a tall order.)* If you use narrow individual hangers, you can fit more than one hook in each slot!CONS:* The metal edges could be a bit smoother. They feel as though they could snag or rip delicate garments, although this hasn't happened yet. I am mindful about what fabrics I hang on and near them because I don't want to risk it.* Some chubbier plastic hangers do not fit in the slots.TO KEEP IN MIND:* Any multi-hanger is going to drop your garments closer to the floor, so, depending on the height of your closet rod, they're not always a great idea for hanging groups of dresses or even some mens' shirts (unless you don't mind your stuff dusting the floor or picking up the occasional dust bunny).* If you're not using narrow-profile individual hangers, you won't get much space-saving benefit from these multi-hangers. They may *visually* free up some space in your closet by storing items vertically, but if you are putting standard girthy plastic hangers (or, if you're fancy, thick wood hangers!) in the holes, you'll likely find that it's still a challenge to squeeze more things onto your closet... rod. Ahem. These lengths of steel are useful but they don't perform magic.

great product!
I got this after everyone scared me from the cheap, plastic ones. They are strong and I have had no problems with them yet. One small thing... I also ended up picking up the cheap plastic ones from the dollar store. The cheaper ones are just that - cheaper. They aren't as strong but they still get the job done on the majority of my closet - they just won't be able to hold winter coats. For the heavy clothing these metal ones are awesome. The plastic ones have actual holes that the hanger goes through - I thought this was a good thing as it's less likely to fall out right? Nah, it really just makes my life more difficult when putting clothes away. I hold my clothes up and thread the hanger through, so the fact that the metal hanger has little slits/pockets for the hanger, not a hole I have to wrestle with, is much easier and better. BUT the metal one has weird hooks for the edges, and it's actually too small for my clothes pole in the closet! The plastic one was actually smart and just used a standard hanger which is easy to use and navigate. The metal one I think is trying to be too sturdy and makes it a little difficult to use. Each type has pros and cons - I recommend a mixtures of both!

Great item for more efficient storage but horrible seller
I purchased a set of two of these hanger cascaders after hearing that the plastic ones were flimsy. I am very happy with the actual product even though they were a lot smaller than they looked in the pictures. $5.69 is a great deal for two of these and I am very happy with that. Two of them really create a lot of extra room in my tiny closet. Now, on to the seller. I would not recommend anyone buy from THE STORAGE STORE. I placed the order on December 30 and just got them today, which makes it four day short of a month. I sent a few emails after the delivery date had passed and they hadn't shown up yet only to get no response. I got an automated email days later on Jan 12th saying they were backordered and wouldn't be in until Jan 20th. I called last week to see what the delay was and the girl assured me they would ship that day, but they didn't end up going out until a few days later. I was really given the run around by these people and will never buy from them again, but I am going to buy some more hangers elsewhere. I highly recommend them!
