Mam Papaul's New Orleans Style Gumbo Mix with Roux

I found this delicious and super-easy gumbo mix when my husband and I lived in Houston, but I couldn't find it in the DFW area. Thanks to Amazon providing this product, my Cajun husband gets to have his favorite not-from-scratch gumbo again. I typically make the chicken and sausage variety. You may want to add a little Cajun seasoning if you like your gumbo with a little extra heat.

Super easy and delicious! My friend suggested I sautee and onion and green pepper and add that to it and it's AMAZING! I ordered 10 boxes for my pantry as it's one of my 4 year olds favorite dishes!

My husband is a Cajun. He loves Gumbo made with this mix. We use a smoked sausage readily available in local stores with chicken. It makes a huge pot. I use chicken stick for a heightened flavor.

Gave these to my sister and she loves the product. She only uses this brand for good cajun food cooking

Not quite the way I remember it tasting. Me and my husband were stationed at England AFB, LA in the early 80's and I made this all the time. It was still good but I wouldn't spend $5.99 on it again.

My Cajun husband and I love this easy gumbo mix. It's got a nice dark roux with good flavor, and it's really easy to make if you're not into or don't have the time to make it the old-fashioned way.
