This is exactly what I was looking for and honestly nicer in person than I expected it to be! I have two dogs and a cat. Both dogs are short with short legs, so I had to help lift them up onto my bed every night. Even more annoying, one of the dogs has a long coat, so he'd often start nights sleeping on the floor somewhere to stay cool, but then in the middle of the night he'd want to join me so he'd whine to wake me up and get onto the bed.I decided I wanted steps that would help them get up to the bed on their own, and also wanted some other sleeping options/extra space for them, so I spent a *long* time looking at various dog "bunk bed" options. Probably the biggest challenge was that one of my dogs weighs 45 lbs but still has really short legs (we think she's some sort of bulldog mix). Most of the options I found that were the right size for my dogs weren't rated to support a dog this heavy. The options I found for heavier dogs were usually much bigger and/or had really big steps that would be hard for these guys to climb up.This bed is absolutely perfect. I honestly found it pretty easy to assemble on my own - no different than other flat-pack furniture, really. The quality is better than I expected and definitely can support plenty of weight - I stood on the stairs to show my dogs how to go up them and they felt plenty stable! I love that it gives you some flexibility to decide how to arrange the sides on top and where to put the steps, so if I move I can always reposition things (although the default options on the top bars didn't totally work for me, so I ended up drilling new screw holes on one side - super easy to do and still worked fine). If I could make changes, I think all I would do is allow even more options for those top pieces (although I know this would mean some unsightly unused screw holes at the end, so maybe include a couple plugs?) and include some adhesive velcro (I just bought some separately) to help hold the stair treads on and keep the steps attached to the bed so nothing slips around. But easy to do on your own.I did also buy my own mattresses for the top and bottom - one of my dogs has arthritis, so I wanted nicer orthopedic mattresses and planned to do this for any bed I bought. Overall the bed actually looks really nice in my bedroom, and the dogs figured it out pretty quickly! The long-haired dog has been going up and down on his own now instead of waking me up. :) I think he's very happy to have the option. And even my cat, who doesn't really need the steps at his current age, has been enjoying the bed as a window perch too!

Great window seat for my little Havanese to watch the world go by from my second floor apartment! Assembly was pretty easy. About an hour. Would’ve given it five stars except there was a strong chemical smell when I opened the box. I don’t think I’ll ever use the cushion that came with it. The smell is overwhelming. I wiped down all the boards so they’re okay. Overall very pleased.

Absolutely loved this item. Instructions were easy to follow. I was able to do it by myself. My dog loves it because now he gets to sunbathe. Material was sturdy. For reference my dog is a chihuahua mix and weighs 18 lbs.

So cute and perfect for our little guys to watch the world go by (Dog TV). Took some treat training to get them used to the stairs (and we bought some Velcro to keep the runners in place). Blends in nicely with the wall. Love the little bottom stairwell that we also put a snuggly dog bed in. High quality materials and great value for the price !

I have a miniature dachshund who likes to join people in their beds. I got this to reach one of the taller beds in the house as other pet steps were too short. Pros: sturdy, dimensions are accurate, pet does use the steps. Cons: she is a low rider and she can get up them but hits her back feet on the steps because of how it's constructed. We bought a runner rug to cover the steps and that works better than the carpet they provide. She won't use the pet house part because it's slick. Luckily you can flip the design to use as you please. I would have preferred a different color for the material, but otherwise it does the job. So it should work for most dogs but may require modifications based on your pets height or sensitivity to slick surfaces.

Took a few hours to put together. Several of the fluted dowels were damaged so needed to get a few more. One nail was missing threads but had an extra on hand. Also #1 and #14 were switched. Otherwise the unit is very sturdy and I was able to follow the instructions. I have a 16 pound cat and there is plenty of room for the cat and toys. I added a few items in the box as you can see including a tunnel. The inside can be used for a litter box as well if your kitty is weighs less! So far so good!

FedEx delivered my order to the wrong unit, I had to walk around my building looking for the package and push it back to my home (it's heavy). After that ordeal, I put it together very quickly and it's HUGE and I'm very happy. It's VERY sturdy. Fits my 25lb dog easy.

The media could not be loaded.  First of all it arrived earlier than expected. Packaging was excellent. Super easy directions, I assembled it by my self in less than an hour. This product is super sturdy. Better than I even expected. And perfect for little dogs that like to look out the window
