Chicken Big Head Costume

Hilarious, epic, genius - just a few comments I've had whilst wearing my donkey costume... I bought this just before Christmas when a friend asked me to tell the Christmas story from the point of view of the donkey (she'd heard someone else do it) and I'm up for most things, so agreed. It was going to cost more to hire the same costume from a local shop, and knowing that everyone loves donkeys, I decided to buy it. I'm 5'6" and it is plenty big enough for me, but my husband, 6'1" was seriously too big for it. Once I'd finished laughing I told him to take it off straight away as he was stretching the stirrup elastic under the feet. There are 'feet covers' so one can wear shoes under it, though the hand are a bit odd - like a hand cover with a bit of elastic to slip ones hand through to hold them in place. The head is separate and I had to put my hair in a pony tail (no pun intended) to keep it hidden. It's difficult to see well with the head on as to keep it at a good angle means that it's best to look at the floor! The only thing that concerned me was that the message of the nativity story would be lost as people would be falling about laughing, but this did not turn out to be so. In fact, it was so quiet I thought everyone had left the room... I expect half of them were trying to work out who it was! I would highly recommend this costume, I used it again on World Book Day and was very gratified to see a lot of puzzled faces.

I bought this for my weekend away for fun to wear but the head had a great big hole for your face..whereas i thought it would be concealed so i was a bit disappointed with that..but my sons like to put it on for a laugh.The body looked very big but it actually fitted fine and was so lovely nd warm i wanted to keep it on..even without the head. It covered my shoes completely nd i jst looked like a walking donkey.

What's not to love about a giant donkey costume?I bought this to use in a Production based on the sea-side and it was fab. The costume fitted great, I'm 5'10" and average build, the head is huge and very padded, so can be a bit of a squeeze! (Although according to friends I do have a head like Sputnik!) Basically it's a great costume, I wore it on the hottest day of the year and it went down a storm with kids and adults alike.A good purchase.

I'm very happy with this costume. I am 5' 3" and it fits me fine with plenty of room to spare. The head is in fact much more comfortable than I imagined. All very easy to put on. On a tall strapping male this costume might be a bit more of a challenge.

Lovely costume -- great part outfit, especially the head.

Bought the whole costume, but only really wanted the head.If you are over 6feet tall, you will struggle to get into the suit. But once on.. its a hoot!The ears on mine wouldn't stay upright like the picture. but with a bit of ... jigging around I got the ears to stay where they should be... now its brill!
