Was redoing a pontoon and this worked well

Works good

When I first installed it I was very happy. It is very bright, nice looking, and looked great on my boat. The problem is that the system used to hold it in place is weak. It uses a ball detent style lock with a nut to tighten it down. The problem is that it's not strong enough to hold it upright all the time. I'm not going to replace it unless necessary, just figure out a way to make it stay upright.

I replaced our light with this, and wow is it bright! A friend was following us at night once, before we had this, and said our light was dull and we were difficult to see as we were headed towards buildings with lights in the distance. Now they see us clearly with this new light. The lightbulb is replaceable...I wanted to mention this since some reviews said it wasn't, and that almost kept me from buying this.

I like the led light which put off good light. I also liked the extra lengths of wire they supplied. Sturdy mounting bracket with over size screws.

Great light. The brightest light on my lake.

This light has the look and feel of a high-quality product. The metal components are supposedly made from 316-stainless steel, which is important when used near saltwater. 304/18-8 stainless steel rusts fairly quickly in that environment. The light comes with a surface mount, 3 mounting screws, 2 loose wires for connecting to power, and instructions (see attached photo). The wires pre-connected to the light are short, so the loose wires have to be spliced in at the appropriate length. When powered, the LED bulb is very bright.I am using this as the stern light on a small 10’ boat. Normally, on kayaks and a small boat that sits low to the waterline like mine, one would want a light as tall as possible so other boats can see it from a distance easily. A 4’ pole light works well, but I think this is a good alternative. For certain fishing situations, a tall light gets in the way of casting. A 24” light seems like a reasonable compromise between convenience and visibility.Overall, I think this is a good light. The only minor complain I have is that the LED bulb is not replaceable. I have an old 12” light that looks similar to this one. On that light, the clear plastic bulb cover can be removed by unscrewing (see attached photo). On this light, the clear cover is permanently glued on.

Fits good even though I had to trim the pole down a little for my application. it was a very complete kit with some extra wire and mounting screws. My old LED anchor light was not serviceable which is why I’m replacing it now. this one can be repaired with a new bulb if it burns out. Overall I’m happy with it, it’s nice and bright.

Must have one,and this one fit the bill with no problem. Takes 5 seconds to install. Works every time.
