Good keyboard - Major issue though....
This is a very nice keyboard with high quality buttons. A point about the switches, they are Kaihl reds NOT Cherry Reds, but they seem to work well enough. They do have a high activation point. The keyboard seems well made. The macro facilities are not great, as you have to have a fairly long wait in between key strokes, which makes the macro stuff pretty useless. The software supplied takes some getting used to, and there are very few instructions/tutorials out there. No biggy, but be prepared to mess about with the software until you get to grips with it.Here is the major minus point for the UK layout keyboard. It is not possible to custom light either the \| or the #~ keys. I brought this to Q-Pad's attention 7 months ago, but they still haven't managed to resolve this issue. If you want to customise your lighting (And let's face it, if you didn't want to custom light it, you'd have bought a KK85 instead - Cherry Reds instead of Kaihls and red illumination) you WILL have a |\ and a ~# button that will be dark. You can only get them to light when the keyboard is set to all one colour. This is a major issue and one that QPad have not remedied. If it were not for this, it would get 5/5 stars. Because of this issue, I've given it 4, and almost dropped that down to 3, as it really is a fundamental part of the keyboard's features.EDIT I've now dropped my review down to one star as despite repeated contact with Qpad who are fully aware of the lighting issues of the |\ and ~# buttons but they refuse to do anything about it. Also trying to contact Qpad is very difficult, and they do not always respond.

Worthy follow up for the MK85.
This keyboard is essentially an upgraded version of the MK85, the one I got as a replacement for my mk85 that died as a result of a massive spill accident. Cherry MX red switches on the one i ordered (my favourite), in this regard, not much different from the previous MK85 - same solid, sturdy design, built like a tank. The difference between that and this is the configureable backlighting. Essentially, you can set the colour for the keycaps and the background colour (under the keycaps, sort of ambient lighting). Also, you can choose from a couple animation that are applied (colour waves, etc), and you can have 6 profiles stored on the keyboard and choose between FN + the first 5 function keys. The only downside about this is that you need to the provided Windows only software to change the colour in PC mode if you want anything, but blue, or switch to a default profile. However in profile modes windows keys are disabled (You can reenable with FN + Left windows key), but even then the bright blue G led still says lit, which does not really meshes with the red colour theme of my choice.PS: My MK85 started working after dried out.

Decent Budget Keyboard
I bought this keyboard in June 2015 and have therefore owned it for over 3 years. At the time of purchase I paid £100 which was about £50 cheaper than the Corsair K70 RGB. I went for this keyboard because it was cheaper than most and still had the RGB and mechanical switches. After owning this keyboard for a long time and attending several LAN events (seen lots of different keyboards) I have noticed that this keyboard is lacking in some areas. I found myself a bit disappointed by lack of individual media keys, but those are personal preference. You can hold down FN + F10 etc for play/pause and volume up etc, but I would definitely prefer to have individual media keys and a VOLUME SCROLL WHEEL, which this keyboard does not have. I also had a problem with my keyboard plaguing me for a long time where some of the lights would never turn off and were permanently red. I fixed this recently by cleaning my keyboard and giving the cable a bit of a wiggle. The software is never updated and the service from Qpad has always been hit or miss. I have also noticed there isn't any green when you put the keyboard into the Rainbow wave effect, which is a bit strange because each key can be individually lit between every colour. White isn't true white and is much closer to a sort of Light blue, but a lot of RGB keyboards tend to have a similar issue with displaying true white. The switches are nice but there is definitely a different feel from true cherry MX Red switches (I have compared directly between the two since my brother owns the Corsair K70 with Cherry MX Red Switches). In my opinion the switches feel a bit spongier whereas my true Cherry MX Red switches feel nicer and have more of that mechanical "clacky" feel. I would say that the keys are quieter on the Qpad compared to the Corsair K70. It's not significantly quieter and I would personally go for the true Cherry MX Switches in the future.Lets get onto the pros and consPros:Cheaper than most RGB mechanical keyboardsThe LEDs are bright and customisable per keyIt's definitely flashier than most keyboards and people definitely notice it at LANsThe USB pass-throughs are very convenientEnough features to satisfy most (Disable windows key, multiple profiles on on-board memory, N key rollover, headphone/mic pass-through, media keys on F7-12 etc)Cons:Software lacks quite a lot, it's never updated and apparently still in "beta"No green on the rainbow effect and no true white colourCustomer service is quite poor, only some of my emails have been responded toNo volume wheel and multimedia keysCheap mechanical switches aren't as good as true Cherry MXConclusion:When I bought the keyboard 3 years ago, I was very happy with the keyboard and loved it for a long time. After owning it for a long time now, I must say that the features in the software on other popular keyboards (Logitech, Razer, Corsair) are much better and allow for a lot more lighting effects if you're into the beauty of RGB (which I must say, I definitely am).I would NOT recommend this keyboard and if you want an RGB keyboard with mechanical switches, I'd definitely save up and spend the £50 more on a more popular and feature rich keyboard. This is mainly because you're going to want to own a keyboard for a long time and not feel like upgrading after 3 years (which I am starting to feel like doing). The more features there are on your keyboard, the less likely you're going to feel like upgrading and spending a lot more on your keyboard.
