If you do a lot of photography that involves pointing the camera down but need more movability then an incorporated horizontal tripod bar then this could be the option for you.I needed something that meant I could photograph without having the tripod legs in the frame. I attached the double head to a fairly hefty Manfrotto studio tripod which enabled me to attach almost any camera. I do use big, heavy medium format cameras so didn't really trust any lighter options. The 131D is a solid piece of kit with plenty of movement and does exactly what it should.Just remember, if at full length, you may need a counter weight for added stability, avoiding any expensive accidents.

Exactly what is needed to shoot vertically such as copying or maybe for online sales of small items. Good for my commercial worlk. Greater control and less back ache. This particular one is designed to work best with manfrotto tripods and is extremely well made and reassuring quality as one would expect from this make. When extended and a decent DSLR is attached then it is necessary to add a counterweight to the other side if the tripod but..hey! ...that isn't a criticism that is just physics what did anyone expect?

Great product. Great quality. Exactly what I needed. Was too heavy for my tripod but I put it on my husband's bike stand, and I'm confident that my camera won't drop.

Does what it should with no problems. Great for still life and table top work.
