Genuine Blackforest and Swiss Cuckoo Clocks are hand made. They are carved by craftsmen and there is little if any 'computer produced' parts. The majority of Blackforest Clocks and Cuckoo clocks in the cheaper ranges (£30-£100) are mass produced but generally well made and are VERY VERY SMALL. Many are no than about 5 - 8" which does cause disappointment.However, this particular clock is a true work of art. It is a good size and it has a cuckoo! The carvings and details are amazing and exactly what you would expect for such a hefty price tag. If you are a collector then this is tops. If you are just looking for something to hang in the hall, then you need to consider the price!

Clock is amazing, if it was packed correctly by putting the box in another box and packed we would not be having this conversation.

Bought for elderly mother for Christmas 2021, had a couple broken pieces right out of the box, not a big deal. Fast forward to July 2022, Clock stops 5 minutes past the hour, music box no longer plays, figurines no longer move. I do not recommend anyone purchasing this clock. For the price it should last many years.

I don't like the fact that the very expensive cuckoo clock when opened has SEVERAL broken pieces. I think I should send it back and ask for a new replacement.....but thinking of gluing all the broken pieces to save time. It was a Christmas present for my wife so I am very disappointed. Craig
