Protects the knees and shins.
Protected my knees and shins when sailing small dinghies; especially after capsizing and getting back in the boat!!

Good padding
I found that they dug into the back of bare legs and the straps could do with being a bit longer. Good padding though.

Very well made and comfortable
Very well made and comfortable. They have worn well over the months I've used them. Well worth the money and better than all the others I've see or used. Most other brands are poorly made and/or use cheap foam padding. These are better.
