Thomas Dudley MiniRester Water Hammer Arrester for Washing Machine & Dishwasher 3/4 BSP

I have now fitted these on the washing machine and the dishwasher and have completely removed the thud! Easy to fit and no special tools needed to fit. Easy alternative to uplifting floor boards to strap pipework.

Quick and easy to install and immediately stopped the washing machine causing the pipes to knock when it filled.

Don't usually write reviews, but this product has saved my sanity! Since getting new Samsung washing machine, was getting water hammer (banging in pipes) when machine filled up- never had it before, and was becoming frustrating as could hear it throughout the house (and my partner seems to be washing all the time!). Having to work at home due to Covid19, this what seemed constant banging in the pipes was too much! Bought this product, drained the cold water system completely to remove any air throughout the house (Google water hammer fix - had tried this before but hammer came back quickly), fitted this product under the sink as was easier than back of washing machine, then refilled water system. First few times used the washing machine noise was better but could still hear it. Couple of weeks in I put my washing on this morning and no noise what so ever, water hammer from washing machine solved! Would recommend product and suggest little patience before getting the full benefit.

Unfortunately didn’t make any difference to the water hammer.Easy enough to fit but in my case no use to me.

The item arrived as per delivery time line. However, the item looked like second hand product: rusty inside, package already opened and previous marked left due to over tight spanner - therefore I would say 2 star for value for money.I am qualified plumber, I can assure you that I have installed it correctly in less than 5 minutes - It's very easy to install. You don't need anything other than a spanner. As I have just install now and suspect second hand product - I think it's to early to comment the quality of the product from this seller.

It does work well. It took me 2 hours so a little longer than the 10 minutes stated! as I had to reconfigure the pipework due to space. 10 minutes is possible if it's a straightforward disconnect and reconnect.

Easy Installation but didn't work. Installed between washing machine and isolation valve. Water hammer still happening at the sink, may require another one at that point.
