Get this blade!
This thing is a monster, and it comes exceptionally sharp. No BS brush clearing machine, and no doubt it could do finer tasks like making feather sticks. Has enough heft to it to let you know it means business but isn’t so heavy you couldn’t wear it on a belt. I think for the money this knife edges out the WTG kodiak by about $70 and at least this knife is readily available

What's not to love?
Big, tough, and durable. Not the most graceful knife there is, but very handy and capable as a good, solid bush knife. It is a wee bit on the large side for most practical applications, for those looking for a tool that will behave more like a knife, get the Junglas 2 - same knife but a few inches shorter and much more practical for 99% of applications.Ignore the naysayers and self proclaimed experts - 1095 is an excellent, tough, general purpose high carbon steel and in this particular application is ideal. That being said, it WILL rust quite readily if not properly cared for. Clean it after use and apply a light film of oil of your choice. The sheath, while not PARTICULARLY outstanding, is still perfectly acceptable. It is a little loose for my tastes, but that does not detract from its functionality.Overall an excellent tool - again, a little large for 99% of applications. I will be purchasing the Junglas 2 soon just for that reason.

Wow! my p*n*s grew 3inchs since purchasing
Wow! my p*n*s grew 3inchs since purchasing. Just kidding but really nice and incredibly balanced. Was real surprised at the fine work I was able to do with this knife that usually smaller blades are better at. This doubles as a machete, hatchet, and survival knife for me. Good at chopping, knife work and splitting. Even the sheath was really good quality. This would be the one Knife I would take into the wilderness that would cover most survival and bushcrafting chores. I even purchased the Esee Accessory pouch and attached it to the sheath and it looks incredible while holding a small survival kit. If I had 30 seconds to bug out I can grab this set-up and nothing else and confidently survive in the woods.

Its BIG
Awesome knife! This thing looks big in the videos and in pictures but DAMN, this is a large blade. As with all ESEE blades, it is wonderfully crafted with a nice edge. A few minutes on my leather strop and it was basically a 10" razor blade (why dont companies strop their blades?!?! Seriously, 10 minutes!). The sheath is above-average but not without issues. It has some cool features and I love the retainability options on it. It does rattle quite a bit though and I feel they could have made it tighter, like a gun holster or something, those don't rattle! Knife has good balance, has a better than average sheath and is sharp, what else you need?

Beast!
Have not field tested yet, but you can tell this is a beast! Thick heavy steel single piece blade feels like it can withstand more impact than I could ever generate. Handle seems as if it could absorb anything as well. I wet my hands several times and the grip just got better. Blade was razor sharp as well. Unless the blade has any issues staying sharp or chipping, there is no way this would be less than a 5 star product. Worth every penny.

Item was not new. It was visibly used and worn.
Item was not new. It had visible signs of use. I was still charged the full brand new price.
