This is a basic 'L' frame but it's quite sturdy and works as it should as it is so simple a device. The finish is very good - on a par with a similar, more expensive bracket I bought a while back in fact. I bought this as 'spare' to a degree based on the price factor to be honest but I am not disappointed. The price is very competitive and I can't think of anything to niggle about. Needed one of these to put my Canon 7D mark 2 on my new light weight tripod so I can change from land scape to portrait quickly and keep the camera over the middle of the tripod so stability is not affected. It is Arca Swiss compatible so fits well onto the head. Feels and looks good quality and superb value. If you are going to use any of the ports on the end of your camera you need straight connectors not right angled ones so they fit through the aperture of the bracket. Highly recommended.

I can see this working in a lot of scenarios. I wanted to use for my fuji x100 and it does fit however, it's missing the cut out on one side of the base of the Arca Swiss mount to enable you to mount it on a unit with a push release safety button. So it does work on one tripod head I've got, but unfortunately not on my others with the safety pin.

This plate/bracket is well made and to the correct specification for both of my tripods. Great value when compared some of the close to identical plates on offer. Looking at the Amazon site images of the plate I bought with other, they appear to be identical in specification, standard and finishes.No problems arising after regurlar use.

For price it's decent quality and works well

The side plate was far from perpendicular to the base plate. Returned.

This does NOT FIT most of my tripods. This is around 1 mm too narrow and the clamps can not squeeze it and hold it. It remain loose even fully screwed.I bought another bracket and this fits all of my tripods.

I wasn't sure when I saw this but decided to try it because it was very low priced. In the end, it does fit my Panasonic Lumix G9 but with some compromise. To prevent the baseplate covering part of the camera's battery cover you need to cut a bit off the end, or mount it so the side plate remains about 5 mm away from the side of the camera body. I could live with that but my main issue was that the fully articulating screen on the G9 can't be used with the bracket mounted.With these limitations in mind it's still a good buy for the price if you need an L bracket since nobody appears to offer a dedicated bracket for this model camera.
