If it may turn to a simpler form with less costing
First of all, I put my hand on, if I am technically wrong, as I am not a professional engineer. It is just an opinion.(1) the second lock - the dip after first rotational lock, may be deepen slightly, to ensure the lock is firmly established.(2) the steel spring at the center may be omitted and the height can be adjusted by two parallel running side straps only, just like backpack bags, running from ground upto height. Along with buckle it will ensure the height lock over the second dip lock.- the device, devoid of mechanical string, will be (1) much stable (as the spring may be damaged anytime) (2) environment friendly (3) commercially much cheaper.
